With the Michael Brown Grand Jury Decision, I went looking for an inspiring book on Black History and found one on Joel Christian Gill’ s blog. Actually, I found two, but this one caught my eye because of the Billie Holiday song. Gill came to the title from the song which he explains below. Forget the looting and the burning and celebrate the uncelebrated. That’s what I want to see right now with my daughter. And you will, too with this wonderfully illustrated book by Joel Christian Gill.
