I am about half way through this one. Other than a long chapter on pickles, it’s been very good. Lakshmi writes about food in a sensuous way and her personal story is pretty even-tempered. Worth the read for foodies and fans of Top Chef. I admit I was riveted to the first chapter about her marriage to Salman Rushdie.

City of Saints: A Pilgrimage to John Paul II’s KrakówPaperback– October 27, 2015
I wanted to read this book because I visited Krakow in 2001 and was enchanted. I was fortunate enough to have friends living in Warsaw at the time so they were able to show my husband and me around and this truly is the Pope’s city. This book is well illustrated in both color and black and white and is a thorough history of the city and the saint. Great reading for travellers, history lovers and John Paul II fans. This book is a lovely reminder of that trip.
