Read.Sleep.Repeat is hosting the fourth ARC August!

Last week I read the following ARC’ s:

All the Missing Girls: A Novel Hardcover – June 28, 2016 by Megan Miranda

Worth Getting in Bed For? Yes. This suspense novel was different in that it is told in reverse. Each chapter is the day before. This method was a little difficult for me to get used to but it worked really well in depositing and revealing clues. Focusing on the loss of her best friend, the story centers around Nic Farrell and her family and friends and their many secrets. When another woman goes missing, the story really picks up. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to get to the day before. The reveal is not what I expected. The characters are well drawn out and there are plenty of surprises.

The Trap Hardcover – July 5, 2016 by Melanie Raabe

Worth Getting in Bed For? Yes. This was a good read that had some bumps but the storyline was interesting. Linda Conrads is an author who has basically been an agorophobe since her sister was murdered. She is a witness to the crime scene and sees a man in her sister’s apartment. Years later, she thinks she recognizes him and decides to trap him by writing a thriller based on the murder and having the suspect, a journalist, interview her. Will she catch the killer or is this a case of mistaken identity? Raabe is excellent at capturing the panic and fear of the main character in her illness. The story is told using the novel within a novel approach which works for the most part.
