Between Breaths: A Memoir of Panic and Addiction Hardcover – September 13, 2016
From the Publisher. From the moment she uttered the brave and honest words, “I am an alcoholic,” to interviewer George Stephanopoulos, Elizabeth Vargas began writing her story, as her experiences were still raw. Now, in BETWEEN BREATHS, Vargas discusses her accounts of growing up with anxiety-which began suddenly at the age of six when her father served in Vietnam-and how she dealt with this anxiety as she came of age, to her eventually turning to alcohol for relief. She tells of how she found herself living in denial, about the extent of her addiction and keeping her dependency a secret for so long. She addresses her time in rehab, her first year of sobriety, and the guilt she felt as a working mother who had never found the right balance.
Honest and hopeful, BETWEEN BREATHS is an inspiring read.

War Dogs Mass Market Paperback – July 26, 2016
Worth Getting in Bed For? Yes. Truth is often stranger than fiction. This is a fascinating look at gun running and the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Book is more specific and the movie is well done and entertaining. The movie is Worth Getting Out of Bed For. My verdict is see the movie and read the book.

The Girl on the Train: A Novel Paperback – July 12, 2016
From the Publisher.EVERY DAY THE SAME
Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life—as she sees it—is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.
UNTIL TODAY
And then she sees something shocking. It’s only a minute until the train moves on, but it’s enough. Now everything’s changed. Unable to keep it to herself, Rachel goes to the police. But is she really as unreliable as they say? Soon she is deeply entangled not only in the investigation but in the lives of everyone involved. Has she done more harm than good?
